Stringer

Every fish you catch fills a page.

Support

Stringer is a fishing logbook for iPhone. If something is wrong, or you want to ask for a feature, email kawika.beaman@hotmail.com.

It helps to include what water you were on, what you were trying to do, and what the app did instead. Your Stringer version and iOS version are in Settings › Help & contact, and the Email support button there fills both in for you.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. There is nothing to sign up for. Every catch, achievement and spot lives on your phone, and backs up to your own iCloud if your iPhone is signed in to it. A new iPhone on the same iCloud gets your book back.

Where are my catches stored?

On your iPhone, with a backup in your private iCloud that only you can read. We can't see it. Your spots are never shared, and there is no feed, no followers and no "anglers near you".

Can I get my data out?

Yes, always, free, on every plan. Settings › My data › Export my data writes your catches, gear and achievements as CSV files alongside your photos.

How do I cancel Stringer Pro?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Everything you logged stays readable and exportable whether you subscribe or not.

How do I delete my data?

Settings › Account › Delete my data. Your catches, photos, spots, gear and achievements are removed from the phone and from your iCloud backup. Export first if you want to keep them.

Does Stringer tell me the fishing regulations?

No. Stringer does not provide fishing regulations. Knowing the licence requirements, seasons, size limits and catch limits where you fish is your responsibility.
